Wow, it's been awhile, right?

So, it's been quite awhile.
I have good reason though...

Only 12 more weeks to go with this little guy!

{weekend happenings}

So, I have friends who like throw parties.
Parties for every occasion.
Themed parties.
Halloween is the first one that kicks off the holiday season.
I had a rough week last week filled with lots of migraine headaches (fun, fun) because of the shots I am on and it was so much fun to get out, hang out with our friends and have some fun.
We all dressed up, ate pretty much every food ever pinned on pinterest and partied it up.
(No drinks for me.)

Here is my hubby and I as Snow White and Prince Charming.
We couldn't find a real price costume so we just had to pull it off with a Buccaneer costume with a sword.
It works. Even if it doesn't, just tell me it does. Humor me.

The costumes at the party were so awesome.
I wish I would have got more photos cause there was even
Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf, an Ostrich Rangler, and
Ms. Kay and Phil from Duck Dynasty - that was totally unexpected, original and they pulled it off really great.

So, our friend had the best totally legit pirate costume.
His leg got blown off last year stepping on a mine and I was not expecting him to come in with a peg leg. Crazy awesome. He has a great sense of humor.

You can kinda see "Phil" from Duck Dynasty in the background of that last photo.
So hilarious.
The night was so much fun.
There was even some pretty crazy "Gangnam Style" dancing going on, a little Journey singing and a beer pong contest by the end of the night.

I seriously love these people.

So, did any of y'all go to any costume parties or dress up?

{I'm a hustler baby.}

I just realized that I forgot to hit "post" so this little Friday Letters post was just sitting in draft waiting....
Whoops!!!

Dear Friday.
 Hello there lovely.
I missed you.

Dear Lupron shots.
I totally rocked you yesterday.
Little bitty baby needles don't scare me....the big ones do, just a little.
But I'm gonna rock those soon too.
Bring it on...
cause I'm a hustler babbby....
Dear Bad Weather.
Thanks for wrecking my show schedule Wednesday night.
I tried to play Modern Family on my DVR.
You might as well laughed in my face.
Oh, hello tornado warnings and our goofy little weatherman.
Thanks for ruining my night.

Dear Happy Endings.
Is anyone else happy this season premiere is on Tuesday!?!
I know I am.
These folks are dysfunctional.
Crazy.
Hilarious.
Penny is ahhhhh-mazing.
You have to watch.
Seriously.

Dear Dean.
You are my best friend.
You are there when I laugh and there when I cry, or try not to cry.
You are what gets me through everyday.
I love you more than words.
 xoxo.

{big day today}

Big day today.

I start my Lupron shots tonight!
I just can't believe our Embryo Adoption transfer is a little less than a month away and I am already starting my shots. I am so excited. I just can't explain how much this means to us.
It is everything that we want.
It is our chance for our family to begin.
I am so overwhelmed with joy.

But.
Honestly, the past few days I have been kinda a mess.
I admit it, I have cried....way more than once.

Thankfully my husband and my mom were very supportive and made me feel better though.
I'm just super emotional.
I am scared and nervous.

I have so much hope that this will work for us and we will be able to start our family, but like everything in life, there are no guarantees. We have been through so much to get to this point over the past 8+ years and I truly believe that everything we have been through has been for a reason and has lead us to and through this Embryo Adoption journey.
I just pray that this is our answer.
I pray that these are our babies (or baby).
I pray they are meant for us and our life as a family can begin.

I want to see my husband be a father.
I want to be big and pregnant - well maybe not the big part.
I want to go shopping with my Mom and sister and buy cute little baby shoes.
I want to decorate a nursery.
I want to hear their first words, even if it's "dada".
I want to watch this little person grow everyday and learn.
I want to hear my Dad called "Grandpa" and take them fishing at my parents house.
I want Easter egg hunts and birthday parties and school photos.
I want my friends and family to celebrate with us.
This child will be loved. I can promise you that.
 They will be cherished everyday.

I am so grateful for an amazing husband who has been by my side always and for a wonderful family who has supported us every step of the way. I also have awesome friends and co-workers and people I meet everyday that offer me prayers and support. I am so grateful.

Now I just need prayers.
Lots & lots of prayers.

Our embryo transfer date is November 15th, 2012.

{slaker.}

I'm kinda a slacker lately with posting.
Lots going on, but it's never to late for a little "oh, how pinteresting", right?

 Let's get it started....

I adore these shoes....

I really NEED to get these drawer organizers!!!
I love how neat this is.

This is beautiful....

These are so fun!
Next time my mom makes Obi a new dog bed I am totally going to get some fun, modern fabrics!

Oh, my
Who doesn't love a little cute skateboarding puppy....
this is just cuteness overload at it's very best.

I'll be back tomorrow.
Later gaters.

{I will stand on dumpsters for beautiful friends}

I have to say that I am a pretty lucky girl.
I not only have amazingly gorgeous friends,
but I have amazingly gorgeous friends that want me to take pictures of them.
Isn't that awesome?

Last month our friends celebrated their two year wedding anniversary.
We went downtown this weekend to shoot some lovey dovey photos and hang out.

A few little warnings:
#1. As I have said before I am not a real experienced photographer, so please be kind. :)
And....
#2 Yes, they are this in love.
#3 Yes, it will make you a little sick.
(haha.)

This one was my absolute favorite.
Love.love.love.

They are an amazing couple and the sweetest friends.
I adore them.
I mean, hey I stood on a dumpster in an ally for them to get some of these shots.

If you are in love, married, have kids....whatever the case may be.
Have your pictures taken.
One day your kids will look back at them and cherish them.
I think that every time I look at these photos.

One day their children are going to see how in love their parents were (and still are).
They will see how beautiful their mother is.
They will see their parents laughing and loving life together
and they will see the way their father looked at their mother.
Isn't that an amazing gift?

I know I am getting all mushy, but it really is a wonderful gift.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.
:)

{weekend recap: lonestar, fried twinkies, lame old folks}

Another fab. weekend.
Why does Monday come so quick???
Blah.

So, here's a little weekend recap.

We spent a lot of time with great friends.
Some of them shouldn't be in public. ;)

We originally went downtown  Saturday for a little anniversary photo shoot
for our crazy in love friends and then ended up staying for Fall on Beale.
It is a free concert on Beale Street in Memphis featuring country music
and they had a few bands playing, including Lonestar.

I like music. I like free.

We stayed and watched everyone play, but left before the end so we didn't catch the crowd leaving.
My feet were aching from being up and walking downtown since 2pm.
I'm pretty sure you know this but fashionable shoes and walking all day does not mix well.

Our friends went to eat hamburgers and fried twinkies after.
We went to the hizzy.
I have to admit it....I'm kinda jealous of the fried twinkies.
It sounds like a fabulous idea late at night.

But we are so old and lame.
After being downtown since 2pm, I was ready to get in bed by 10:30.
See, old and lame, right?
It's ok.
This girl needs sleep.

We still had an awesome time.
And the hubby actually took some pics with me.

We obviously didn't get one where we both were smiling at the same time.
Smiling, serious.
Serious, smiling.
It never fails.
Can't knock him for trying, right?
